I always related to Kain, so I suppose this is where I let my dark side show... 1 ¤ 2 ¤ 3 ¤ 4 ¤ 5 ¤ 6 ¤ 7 ¤ 8 ¤ 9 ¤ 10 ¤ Epilogue by Andrea Hartmann A prequel to Forgiveness. Mostly about Kain, with Cecil and Rosa, and takes place a few years before the game's beginning. This fic mostly deals with just how Kain got to be so hung up on Rosa, and so bitter towards Cecil, basically fleshing out some events I mentioned in Forgiveness that never were mentioned in the game, as well as a few plot devices the English translation left out of the game entirely. by Morgaine MacLir Here's an excellent FFV fic, detailing the events between the end of the game and the anime. Also it manages to give a lot of background into the history of the world(s) of FFV, and lots of character development for the characters you know and love, plus a few lesser-known NPCs... Obviously this contains spoilers, so if you haven't played FFV... well, shame on you. ;) At least read up on it at the hosting page, Shinryuu's Lair. by Andrea Hartmann A short FFVI fic inspired by listening to a midi of the ending music. I got to the stretch with Relm/Shadow/Strago, and got to thinking about the different opinions people have about what Shadow's ending meant... and the way Relm treated Strago... by B Okay, so she doesn't like Sephiroth. Her Edgar story is still really good. ^_^ Really, I've been wanting to branch out into fics other than FFVII for awhile now, so here's the first. That board is sorta my home away from home. by Daphne Sy Here we have a moving story told from Aerith's perspective, as she reminisces in the final moments in the Ancient Capital... About Cloud, Zack, and the many things she's endured through her life. Not much else I can say about this story except that it offers surprising insight into Aerith's character, and her relationships with the other people she encounters during the game. by Matthew Schuele A FFVII fic that's very different from the stories you usually read about this particular game, in that it doesn't have much at all to do with the main characters, but rather speaks of the world in which they live; in this case, life in the slums of Midgar and the nature of materia gets a close, uncensored look. So if you're looking for something new and fresh, innovative and surreal, this is one you should definitely check out. And if you'd like to read more of the author's works (which I highly recommend), visit his page, Reverse. by Faye Locke Here's a very well-written story (actually two, sort of) of Sephiroth's past, starting a few years before the story you all know... If you like Misbegotten, you'll probably like this too. The author has written some other stories as well, and you can find them at her page, The Cavern. by Aeris This story features some new characters, the second generation of AVALANCHE, you could say, with a fun, light-hearted tone so far. Check out the author's page, Blue Moon for more fics! by Chris Reaves Ah, I was quite pleased to receive this fic for many reasons, a couple of which should be obvious, I guess. ;) It tells of the insanely complicated happenings at Nibelheim in great detail, despite the fact that in the game it was pretty confusing, and gets into Sephiroth's head during those critical moments... Anyone can do that this convincingly has my respect. ;) by Andrea Hartmann My main fanfic. It's sort of a romance novel about Sephiroth and Kit, a SOLDIER First Class who was assigned to kill him. (Actually maybe I shouldn't classify it as a romance specifically, I dunno, it's an adventure with romantic overtones? Bahh...) Finally finished, with a grand total of 50 chapters. by Andrea Hartmann The sequel to Misbegotten. Though Jenova is gone and the world is at peace, her legacy still lives on within Kit and Gabriel. And Sephiroth's sword holds a dark secret as well... by Luke Taylor Taking place a bit after the ending of FFVII, in this story the Turks reunite for another mission. As it turns out, times have changed, and so have they... by Andrea Hartmann So I was playing a game of Triple Triad on disc 3, against someone I'd wanted to play with for ages, and suddenly Squall's mind kind of melded with mine, and I began thinking of a dialogue between him and his opponent during the game, which grew into a strange little fic. This contains several vague spoilers for events up until near the ending of the third disc. by Andrea Hartmann This will probably be the first in a series of short stories about the origins of various GFs. In this particular story, a very mundane event leads to the creation of a goddess... by Luke Taylor A look into the mind of everyone's favorite sadistic albino! :D This one's actually got a bit of a twist from the usual Fuu fics I've seen, which makes it expecially enjoyable. by Matthew Schuele I never know what to say about Matthew Schuele's stories, because... they're just so unique, and involve so many things, anything I could say wouldn't do them justice. So all I'll say about this one is that at the beginning of the second disc, we see where Kiros and Laguna wound up after the last, ill-fated mission. Ward, however, is mentioned only in passing... |
