ITEMS TO GET: Fire Arrows, 15 fairies

    Destroy the icicles and push the large block forward as Goron Link. Kill the White Wolfos in the next section of the room and exit to the east. Walk over to the small snowballs near the edge of the bridge, then transform back into Goron Link and roll across the gapin the bridge. You'll be going upstairs to progress, but take a second and check out the massive, massive room to the west. That expansion pak sure makes for some crazy dungeon designs, ne?

    Close your jaw and head back a room, jumping across to the platform past the bridge as normal Link. Head upstairs, kill the Real Bombchu with an arrow and nab the map. Go back downstairs and west into the aforementioned giant room, where you'll be spending most of your time in Snowhead. Head through the gold-framed door across the room, then pull the double stack of blocks out of the wall to your left and look behind them for a key. Go back into the main room and over to the red-framed door, shooting an arrow through the torch on the right and into the ice covering the door.

    You're back in the first room of the dungeon, so take your shiny new key and unlock the west door, killing another White Wolfos (or two) for the compass. Bomb the cracked and discolored wall, then go up the newly revealed stairs. Shoot the icicles on the ceiling to destroy the blocks below, hop up to the large platform, and smash the giant snowball for a key. Unlock the east door, then Goron Pound the yellow switch on the floor of the next room and jump on the raised yellow platform as normal Link to cross the gap. Goron Pound the green switch near the exit, pound the yellow one you first raised, then quickly jump on the green platform while it is still raised and make your way to the exit.

    Now up a level in the central room, roll across the gap, along the wall to the east, then across the gap again and exit to the west. Here you'll face a Wizrobe mini-boss, one who is easily defeated if you run to the corner and shoot him as he appears. Collect the fire arrows and exit the room, ignoring the Freezard and frozen eyeball switch in the next room (where you previously got the map). Drop down and exit downstairs, finding yourself where you first rolled across a broken bridge and entered the main room. Kill all the Freezards with fire arrows for a key.

    Head back to the familiar center room and de-ice your choice of the green-framed doors. Behind the green door lies a trio of both Freezards and unlit torches; take care of all those things with fire arrows and enter the unbarred door. Goron Pound the switch on the other side to raise the main pillar, then head back to the main chamber (through the southernmost of the green-framed doors) and out the red-framed door. Head back through the west door that you unlocked previously in the opening room, back up the stairs you bombed open, back through the other door you unlocked, then shoot the ice block to create a shortcut past the yellow and green switches and head back into the main room, second floor.

    Use your Goron Punch to knock out the light blue sections of the pillar, then jump down as normal Link and hug the pillar to land on the east portion of the first floor. Even if you fall, just make your way back to the map room, then kill the Freezard and activate the eyeball switch to get back to the second floor. De-ice the north stairway and roll/walk your way to the third floor. Roll to your right and punch out another two sections of the pillar, then unlock the door behind you and exit to the west.

    This room is filled with Eenos, use classic dodge-and-slash tactics to destroy them as normal Link or just run for the north stairs, de-ice the entrance to them and exit. Kill the pair of Dinofols or continue your cowardly run by sprinting past them to the eastern exit. You're at the fourth floor of the main room now, but drop down onto the top of the center pillar and smash the snowballs to open the west staircase. Now you're at the very top of the main room, so roll across to the boss door. Unfortunately, you probably don't have the key to open it, so use the Deku flower to float down to the east door.

    You'll fight another Wizrobe once you enter, so switch back to normal arrows and once again take up aim from a corner of the room. Should he get an ice blast off, quickly switch out of first-person view and roll out of the way. When hit three times, he'll employ decoy Wizrobes, just aim for the solid one with the blue flame on his torch. After three more hits, he'll give up passage to the Big Key, so destroy all the pots for items and continue on through the unbarred door.

    Big Key in hand, drop down to the top of the pillar, destroy the snowballs again, then head upstairs to roll across and unlock the boss door.


BOSS: GOHT

    Free the boss with a fire arrow; he'll trample you immediately and begin running away. Turn into Goron Link and return the favor by chasing him down and ramming him with your spikes. To avoid the blasts of homing lighting he emits after being hit, roll along the outside of the track, but stay inside of the snow layer to keep traction and cut inside suddenly as the lightning approaches. Also remember to continuously smash into the green jars to keep your magic energy full. Eventually, Goht will stumble after being hit, try and take this opportunity to ram into him repeatedly until he gets up. After taking a good bit of damage, he'll begin lobbing bombs behind him in addition to his usual rock shards and bursts of lightning, so take care to avoid these damaging bombs and continue your spiky sideswiping until Goht goes down for good.
