Hmm... this update is a little odd, I guess you could say. As usual, many wonderful pieces, but several of them are quite unusual for one reason or another...

   In the first gallery, we start off with lethargic assassin's excellent picture of BFM's Musashi, and Kristen Smirnov's very cute "The Fierce Battle", from Dragon Quest IV. and Shinryuu gives us another pic from a lesser-known game in possibly the best known RPG series, with "The Pirate Rebel". You may remember winged heart from two exquisite Rinoa drawings a few updates ago -- today's "Terra" portrait shows her incredible artistry again. On the goofier side of things, SouL has used Photoshop to create an odd backdrop for some FF6 art, with "Tomogachi!", and Kameshell contributes a hilarious pic of Mog, Cloud, Seifer, and other FF characters enjoying a drink together in "Beer Time!" The always eccentric Uncreativity gives us a look at what might have been "Seifer's ROMANTIC Dream", and the FF8 craze continues with two more awesome CGed pieces, Kristen Smirnov's "Gunslingers", featuring Irvine and Laguna, and Rinoa Z's adorable "Irvy and Sefie". And since I too have fallen victim to FF8's charms, I put in my own picture of the cutest GF, Carbuncle.

   In the second gallery, two more FF8 pics -- a beautifully realistic portrait of Squall and Rinoa by Maggie, and a really cool group shot of all the major player characters in Kristen Smirnov's "...Because I'm Not Alone." Perhaps the most unusual submission this week, at least in format, is from Petra Rödig: a very, very cute Meowth screensaver! Petra also gives us a graceful drawing of Wild Arms' Odoryuk. "Amidst Spring," by YC Tan, is a beautiful pencil drawing inspired by Sakura Taisen, and Shinryuu's "Secret Bonds" is drawn from Tales of Destiny. Xellos_Rogue contributes "I'm the Best", a portrait of the cocky little sprite-child from Secret of Mana, and Sharky's "Guardian Angel" focuses on Xenogears' Citan Uzuki.

   I'm almost positive I left out a couple pics I was meaning to post... well, you'll see them in the next update, I'm sure. Hopefully this week I'll also have some time to get the Artist and Game archives up to date, I know I've been slacking on that, sorry....
