Well, it's been a while, but don't think your patience is going unrewarded. Thirty pieces are on display today; it'd be excessive to discuss each piece individually, but it suffices to say that today's collection upholds Sketch Artist's tradition of posting the cream of the fanart crop, and then some. R.T. Brown's "The Other Side Of the Mountain" and Tom Szakolczay's "In The Moment" are nigh photographic in quality and utterly breathtaking in natural and emotional scope, respectively; the ever-improving, aesthetically colored anime offerings of Wulfmune and Hydrachild are joined by those of new sketch artist Young Wang; Petra Rödig continues to excel in both quantity and watercolor fueled quality; newcomers Dilandou, GMOL, Zachary Knoles, NextMan, and Sakana make impressive debuts; and old favorites Jen M, Kouryuu, Laine, and By and V maintain the standard set by their previously established artistry. Nice haul? You bet.

   To facilitate organization, I've arranged the works alphabetically by game title into 5 galleries of 6 pieces each.

   That's not the end of that, though. One more announcement before we get on with the art. Today's update marks my last as maintainer of Sketch Artist. I want to savor what's left of life as I know it before I go away for college this fall (OK, sounds a little melodramatic, so sue me); this entails taking a temporary leave of absence and putting Sketch Artist in the hands of someone who's better suited to give the section the time and effort it requires. I'll still be doing some behind the scenes stuff for the page and may return to a more prominent role at some point, but as of now I'm laying low. Artists, drop Andrea Hartmann of GIA Vault fame a line -- along with your bountiful, beautious art! Andrea, a fellow artist, will make for a smooth transition and a dedicated curator. It's been a blast working with you all, but now it's time for me to step down. Adieu!
