Your prayers have been answered
We allready know about a metroid for Game Cube .. so there has to be a BIG chance of an old schol Metroid for Game Boy advance. I mean Metroid was almost more of a success as a game boy series. maybe we will get some really good remakes . although sadly Nintedno doesn't do many of these. You think Nintendo will ever start catering to what we actually want them to do instead of what they feel like making. I mean who really wanted them to make banjo tooie instead well maybe a metroid game .. or a Freeking new Punch out for god sakes.

Lunatic Soul.

Nintendo announced a new Metroid game for the GBA a few months ago. It's going to be a brand new game, which should be pretty cool, especially since I would've settled for a port of Super Metroid.

It's more addictive than crack
Good God Man, stay away from PSO! I foolishly went out and purchased it and only after 1000+ hours of gameplay (no BS, 1000+ hours) did I finally relinquish it's grasp over me (i.e. I gave it to my brother). The game is more addictive than drugs, alcohol and cigarettes combined! Be warned!

While you may not experience the game the way I did (1000+ hours...what was I thinking?) chances are that you will begin to play...and won't want to stop. The weird part is, Diablo2 is really the better game but I don't have *nearly* as many hours as I do with PSO...now Sega will curse me yet again with ver.2!! Argh, i just kicked the habit!!

Justin Bohlman

p.s. seriously, try to find faults with the game (shouldn't be hard!) so that you won't enjoy it much. Save yourself! Don't get hooked! Tobbacco is wacko....err....something like that!

In a move that could spell utter doom for me, I called Sega up today and asked them just what was wrong with my code. Apparently, when the serial numbers and access keys were printed up, there was no difference between zeroes and Os, which I figured could have been the problem. Needless to say, I wasn't too happy to have spent 20 minutes on hold to get that answer.

I have found a few things that I don't like about the game. For instance, I was playing around in the offline mode and I received an instant message. I hit start thinking I could pause it and respond, but it only brought up the menu screen. Seconds later I was being mauled by big dog things. Luckily I made it out alive. Also, I'm still not really used to the controller yet, so aiming with my RAmar can be a little tough. Other than that, it's great fun.

The most important question EVER
Alex, dude,

Chris doesn't answer these questions anymore, but do you like J-pop?

Peace out,

Face

I haven't heard a whole lot of J-pop, but I've liked the songs I have heard. I also enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and dropping heavy rocks on small furry creatures.

My plan is working perfectly
ooog...first you make me go out in sunlight....now you make me eat butter......dear god, let the torture stop.....owwwwwww, my stomach......it's burned and peeling and fat.......ooooog.

...

Seriously though, I think the real answer isn't butter, but Ginsu knives. Don't ask why, but it is.

Peter

Young man, you've earned yourself a nice visit to detention for complaining about my instructions. You're to report to the cafeteria, where you'll help Lunch Lady Doris prepare today's lunch. And Ginsu knives are the second part of the answer. You'll find out why shortly.

I’m going to a bad, bad place
In light of Aeris winning yet another song (curse her!), will Gilgamesh ever get a chance to show his true power? (he was only using 1/10th of his true power the first time he fought the polls, er, heroes)

Gilgamesh only lost because he was being nice to Aeris. Think about it, what does she have to look forward to? A life of baking and having kids, that’s what. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh is the MAN, and we all know you can't get any better than that. He doesn't need to win some silly song poll to be cool.

I think I'm going to be beat up after class
Heya

Dude, you gotta keep your chin up, DA is only as good as it's agent. And yes, it's still really good! (even with you being the agent!) So no more whinin' er else I'll... *ahem* "lay the beats".

Few things to say / ask / demand / beg

1) Anyone else notice that the sky in a certian part of the FF movie trailer is the same as in the fight against Sephiroth @ the end of FF7 (where he's morphed and uses that bitch spell that destroys planets and only hurts you a little... I liked that spell!).. It's in the part where Aki (i think that's her name.. the lead female) is looking down at the camera and it's like she's standing on glass..

2) Who would win in a fight? Link, or Cyan? I've been wonderin' that awhile.. Link would have speed over Cyan (i'd imagine) and Cyan would have the strength (Link looks like a girl most of the time) but Link's got the boomerange (can't spell if that's wrong)... But Cyan can use magic (unless we banned it cuz it's kinda a big advantage).. I don't know who would win.. I'd like to know though!!

Anyways, I have more things but they're much to weird and "out of the box". So I'll just leave it with that.

Syd

To all the readers: Sorry about any negative attitude I may have displayed while hosting the column this week. Life got kind of crazy for a while, but things are starting to smooth out, so all is good. Now, to answer your questions:

1. To be honest, I hadn't noticed. It wouldn't surprise me, though, as I'm expecting Square to stick a few game references in the movie for the fans of the series.

2. This column is really going an excellent job of exposing just how many RPGs I haven't beat. Since I don't really know what Cyan is capable of, I asked Fritz Fraundorf for the answer. Basically, he said that Link would win due to the fact that "Cyan would have to spend too long charging up his moves. Meanwhile Link gets on his horse and tramples over Cyan.”

Closing Comments:

Those of you hoping for a little special time with Drew over the weekend will be sad to hear that I'm still going to be around for the next few days, so you'll just have to wait until next week. In the mean time, you might as well write in about what games you would like to see cooperative play modes in. Until next time.

Alex Annis, ready for bed
