This week looks incredibly promising for me... hopefully by the time of the next update, I'll know whether or not I get to buy FF8 after all! I've been waiting so long for the game to be released... and while I sit and wait for an answer, you guys have been keeping me nice and busy with all this fantastic artwork. I quite appreciate it. ;) And so once again, two galleries...
The first gallery, surprisingly enough, contains more pics from the older FFVI than both the two PSX FFs together, with three works. DancingMadKefka offers a picture of everyone's favorite psychotic clown, Ceres has contributed a portrait of a vulnerable-looking Terra, and Ryuuzaki's "Leaving the Empire" is a sweet pic of General Celes. CHILD's "The Last Angel" is an oddly compelling picture of Tifa, Silverelf offers a very cute pic of FF's infamous chocobos, and the FF artwork is rounded off by one of two incredible pics by Maggie, "SD Zell Packs a Punch". Her other piece is a look back at BoF3's "Young Rei". Saki Wright's "The Commander's Niece" is of Metal Gear Solid's tough, muscular-looking Meryl, while longtime adversaries duke it out in Cyph's "SF Rivals". "The Evil Leader" is the first of two cute Pokémon CGs by NouNou Sipraseuth, with the second, "Summer Fun in the Sun" being found in the second gallery. (And I always thought Pikachu was the evil one...)
Ahem... moving along, the second gallery also contains some artwork from slightly rarer games than the first. Hendrick Sukardi gives us our second Shadow Madness picture with "I will put an end to this", and M. Tails' "Yuraia Shrines..." is the first fan art I've seen yet of Suikoden 2. Sakana's monochrome "Emilia" is simple but elegant, and Andreas Rödig (Petra's brother, if the name sounds familiar) gives us an adorable little gif of The Legend of Zelda's Link. And finally we come to three Xenogears CGs: Arkos Reed contributes two awesome pics, "Emeralda" and "Elly and Fei's Romance", and KV draws a tribute to the fated love as well with "It Will Always Be You".
And that's it for today. Till next time... beware cute fuzzy little animals... they could be harboring a deadly evil within.
