Woof, this update is running a little late, thanks to various factors such as Real Life and server hiccups. My most humble apologies - but on the bright side, I've put the extra time to good use to further refine the way games are organized. Almost everyone seems to like this new approach, although there was some agreement that having single images stacked up looks pretty freaking hideous. Hopefully that won't be much of a problem now.
I feel the need to remind everyone to read the submission guidelines once again; I've been receiving a lot of artwork that doesn't include the information I need or otherwise fails to fit the format of this gallery. I'm getting a bit weary of hunting down and trying to keep track of information from people who forget to send it; please, get it right the first time, or I may pass your work up in afvor of people who take a few minutes to make my life a little easier. Of course, you're always welcome to resubmit artwork, but everyone is happiest if you get it right the first time.
The guidelines do admittedly need an update - a lot of work I receive is not expressly forbidden in the listed rules, but nevertheless cannot be posted. I'll be making those changes soon, but let me cover two big issues now. The most common problem I see is copied artwork: images taken straight from official illustrations (traced, copied or simply composited). For copyright reasons, that sort of art cannot be printed here. Also, after receiving a terrifying piece of hardcore Vib-Ribbon pornography, I think it's really important to understand that we do not print hentai/pornographic/explicit art. Especially when it involves copulating crack-rabbits. *shudder*
Meanwhile, the inoffensive art I've received has been excellent. And as you can tell from the list below, the submissions this week cover an impressive array of titles. The mood and content of this update are equally eclectic. Hanna Chang's beautiful rendition of Castlevania's Alucard and Winged Heart's portrait of Squall and Rinoa, "Sir Leonheart," add a solemn touch. On the lighter side, Onsen-Mark's amusingly disturbing (but blissfully non-pornographic) Vib-Ribbon artwork reminds me why I try to avoid IRC, and Dancing Mad Kefka treats us to the return of everyone's favorite goth Servbot, Syd.
Of course, these are but a few of the excellent submissions this week. Every piece deserves a look, so get looking!
