While a North American release is still a few months away, the final design for Final Fantasy VIII's front cover has hit the streets. Squall, Rinoa, and Seifer stand beatifully rendered on the forefront of the design, with a haunting image of Edea, arms outstretched, faded into the background. While not quite as strikingly simplistic as the original Japanese packaging, the general consensus among fans is that, for once, the American design is vastly superior.
