We here at the GIA fully believe that eye-candy is the most important element in an RPG. Gameplay, music, and actual enjoyment simply don't match up to the critical need for an abundance of awe-inspiring graphics to make a truly fantastic game. Final Fantasy VIII has some of the most visually stunning CG imagery around, and since not all of our readers can download the blissful pleasure of movie captures, we've put together 131 CG screen shots. The rest of the game, of course, doesn't matter.

   (We are, of course, kidding. FF VIII has some of the most complicated gameplay to date, and we'll have a full set of import impressions and other screen shots shortly.)
