Lunar demo pushed back

[04.08.99] » Fans eager to get their hands on the highly anticipated demo of Lunar: Silver Star Story have an extra week to wait. (Surprise.)

Much like the actual game itself, Working Designs' demo of Lunar: Silver Star Story is reinforcing the company's infamous tradition of delays. The demo, which includes the first 4 to 6 hours of the final game, was originally scheduled to be shipped in the first week of April. It slipped to the week of April 12 earlier this month. Today, Working Designs revealed to the GIA that the demo won't ship until April 18 at the earliest.

The news isn't all disheartening, however. As far as we can tell, the actual development on Lunar is virtually, if not completely finished. Working Designs also mentioned that it has already received -- in pre-orders -- five times more units sold than their previous best-seller. The company is not expecting to have enough units to meet initial demand -- RPG enthusiasts eager for Lunar would be wise to reserve as soon as possible.

At present, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete is estimated for a late April / early May release.
