Lunar: Silver Star Story demo update

[04.05.99] » In addition to various promotional announcements, Working Designs reveals that the retail demo of their highly anticipated RPG should arrive shortly.

As mentioned earlier, a fully playable demo of Lunar: Silver Star Story will be available a few weeks prior to the game's retail release. 4 to 6 hours of gameplay will be included, and any demo games saved to memory card will function with the full version. The game's publisher, Working Designs, revealed Friday that the demo has now completed testing at Sony and is expected to ship during the week of April 12th to all those who have pre-purchased (or put down a deposit) at Electronics Boutique and Babbage's / Software Etc. The company also mentioned that no character's level can be raised above level 12 in the demo.

In addition, Working Designs has arranged a variety of promotions for Lunar beyond the game's extensive packaging extras. Customers who pre-purchase or pre-order directly from Working Designs will receive a Lunar lapel pin, while those who plan to order from EB World can purchase the game and official strategy guide together for $74.99.

Lunar is currently estimated for a late April / early May release. No year is specified, but we're hoping it's 1999.
