More Lunar demo details released

[03.24.99] » The playable demo of Working Designs' highly-anticipated RPG will arrive in consumers' hands during the first week of April.

   Reports that a demo of Lunar that will be available to those who reserve a copy of the game are now officially confirmed. Working Designs formally announced the demo today, and with it came new details about its features.

   The demo contains approximately 4 to 6 hours of playing time, spanning the first several areas of the game and the first seven anime FMV scenes. At the end of the demo, a brief video shows highlights from the remainder of the game. As previously reported, saved games from the demo will be usable in the final game, so you can pick up where you left off.

   Working Designs also announced that the demo is currently undergoing testing by Sony, and will enter the manufacturing stage the week of March 29th, with an expected release date sometime in the first week of April. Those who reserved the game at Babbages / Software Etc. or Electronics Boutique before the demo offer are encouraged to inquire at the store about obtaining the demo. Working Designs will also begin accepting direct orders from the game next week.

   In the last bit of Lunar news, Working Designs is reporting that it is already oversold on final copies of the game. Lunar fans who want to be certain that they receive the game as soon as it released should purchase the game ahead of time in order to guarantee a copy.
