A report from GameFan states that North American gamers will indeed be able to get their hands on the FF Collection -- Square's PSX rerelease of Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI. Our sources have already confirmed it. However, although FF V and FF VI are said to be included, mysteriously enough, FF IV is not mentioned whatsoever.

Undoubtedly some fans will be upset about the lack of FF IV, but considering this is the first time they'll be able to acquire a (legal) translated copy of the popular FF V, and with FMV thrown in to boot, it should be easy enough to overlook. FF IV, as well, only holds minor differences in comparison with FF II US. All in all, this is a time for RPG fans to rejoice merrily.

The Japanese Final Fantasy Collection is still slated for a March 11 release date. Squaresoft has yet to announce a release date for the North American version, as well as a final official name for the collection. Head on over to an earlier news report for a multitude of screen shots.
