RPGMaker PS2 coming to the US?
[10.23.01] » Agetec already in negotiations for a North
American release.
Though a PlayStation 2 installment of Enterbrain's
long running series of RPG construction kits was announced several
months ago in the form of RPG School 5, no word on a possible US release
has been heard until now. The third game in the series was published
in North America last year by Agetec as RPGMaker.
Now Gamespot reports that the same company is already in negotiations
to bring the newest game over, most likely as RPGMaker II.
RPG Maker for PS2 will add many new features,
including a fully 3D engine which allows designers to set elevation
and customize the proportions of the characters and monsters. The
game will also add support for Sony's PictureParadise technology to
allow player to import pictures from a digital camera and, more importantly,
support for USB keyboards.
RPG School 5 is set for a Japanese release on December
20th. Look for a full preview from the GIA soon.
