Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger confirmed for US release

   As previously reported, Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger will be released this July for PlayStation in a single set with the name Final Fantasy Chronicles. (Yes, we're aware that Chrono Trigger isn't a Final Fantasy game.) Both games feature new cinema scenes not present in the SNES versions, and Final Fantasy IV has been tweaked to allow quicker navigation of towns or dungeons.

   The best news? If fans were wondering why FFIV wasn't included in the previous Final Fantasy Anthology, it may be due to the delay involved in re-translating the game--yes, for the first time in America, the "hard type" version of the game will arrive completely intact and uncensored. Just hope that the new translation isn't handled by the same team who did Final Fantasy V.
