Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 confirmed for U.S. release

   Enix today confirmed a North America release of Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 (Dragon Quest Monsters 2 in Japan). The two versions of the Game Boy Color game will receive name changes for their English localizations: Ruka's Journey Begins will be known as Cobi's Journey, while Iru's Adventure will become Tara's Adventure.

   Both chapters of the game are currently scheduled for a fall 2001 release. It's not yet clear if Enix America will release both games on the same day or take the route of its Japanese counterpart and stagger the releases.

   Released March 9 in Japan, Ruka's Journey Begins has already sold over 500,000 copies. Iru's Adventure is due out April 20th in its home country.

   Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 joins the Game Boy Color remake of Dragon Warrior III on Enix's 2001 release list.
