Monster Rancher PS2 revealed

[10.16.00] » Tecmo releases the first screens from the PS2 update of their popular monster raising sim.

   As previously reported, Tecmo has been hard at work on the third installment of their breed-and-battle sim Monster Rancher (Monster Farm in Japan), this time for the PlayStation 2. As these early screens reveal, fans can expect the return of some familiar creatures, as well a more cartoon-ish look accomplished through the ever-popular cell-shading technique.

   The PlayStation 2 Monster Rancher is expected to arrive in Japan spring of 2001. Considering Tecmo's strong commitment to the franchise in the US, an American release will likely follow.
