E3: Sega clarifies Phantasy Star Online Worldwide release date

   In a recent story we reported that Sega announced Phantasy Star Online would ship in North American in Winter 2000. A bevy of speculation arose due to Sega's intentional or unintentional omission of the title's Japanese and European release dates. Today, however, Sega confirmed a synchronous worldwide release sometime in January 2001.
