Chapter 6 |
Dazil |

ITEMS TO GET: None
Head west across the desert to Dazil (the glowing dot
on your map). While in the desert, you may run across
groups of Tusken Raiders, OOPS I mean, Sand Men. They're
kinda tough, use your Deathblows against them. Speaking
of Deathblows, if Fei has gotten 100% on Senretsu (you
probably can't actually learn it yet, as you're not at a
high enough level, but you can get a full bar so that you'll
learn it as soon as you reach the right level), have him
start using lots of Square button attacks so he can advance
on his third Deathblow.
Once you reach Dazil, you'll have to hunt around it a
bit for the entrance (you can only get in from one side)
before you can get into the town proper. First, go to the
weapon shop, the person behind the row of tires straight
ahead of you. Buy some Fencing Wear and equip it on Fei
(don't bother with any of the other stuff). You can also
go to the item shop to the north, but you're better off
saving your money for later. If you need to save, the
save point's in the building closest to the Ethos HQ. You
can also pay a visit to the bar (right behind the weapon
shop) to meet up with Big Joe, whom you'll be seeing plenty
of later.
Now go to the buggy store, south and west from the
weapon shop (from the entrance, it's the first building
past the guard stations). Talk to the owner, then go to
the Ethos HQ in the northeast corner of town. Citan will
inquire about the parts needed to fix Weltall, but they're
not available. Go outside and Citan and Fei will talk
briefly about what to do with Weltall. Head back to the
buggy place and you'll see a buggy outside now. Pop inside
and talk to the store owner, and Citan will rent the buggy
to go search for parts in the desert. After he leaves,
the owner suggests that Fei accompany Citan (why doesn't
he mention this before Citan leaves?). Save again if
you want to, then go back out onto the world map.
Head north from Dazil and the scene should change into
a close-up in the desert (if you can't find it at first, just
keep wandering around until you hit the right spot). Some
Kislev Gears will fly by. Follow them northwest two screens,
at which point you'll stop and see a flying saucer crashing
into the ground. Once you regain control of Fei, go
northeast two more screens. Be sure to keep up your health
by using healing items between battles -- preferably Hob
Jerky, as it can only be used out of battles, whereas Aquasol
can be used at any time (and thus should be conserved for
battles).
Fei will swipe a bike from an Aveh soldier and take
off across the desert. This is all automatic; he'll
eventually be caught by two Troopers, but Citan comes to
the rescue in Weltall and you fight another Gear battle.
This time, just use Square or X button attacks to conserve
fuel; don't use any Deathblows. The two Troopers will
go down easily, but then there will be some more scenes
introducing Grahf, one of the game's main villains, and you'll
have to fight a Wyrm.
The Wyrm is immune to all regular attacks, so you can
either use Triangle attacks to build up to Attack Level 1
and then use Deathblows, or just use the Guided Shot ether.
Either way, you should be able to kill it in 3 or 4 hits.
Grahf then departs, but more Aveh soldiers arrive, forcing
Fei and Citan to surrender.
