ITEMS TO GET: VIT Drive, ETH Drive, E Circuit,
[JessieCannon]
Go west into the computer room and examine the
computer. Citan will show a bunch of records of Zeboim,
then you mysteriously appear in the hallway just to
the south of the room where you were. It's where you
want to be, though; head south a bit more into the
room you saw in the flashbacks. Walk around behind
the cylinder and examine it. Just as you free the
girl, Stone's men show up and take her captive. He
then sics the two other members of the Elements,
Tolone and Seraphita, on you.
This isn't too tough a battle; it's more just
warmup for what comes later. Seraphita will cast
fire spells that do about 150-200 damage to the party,
but you should be protected with the Fire Rings.
She'll also sap your EP, which can be annoying.
As for Tolone, she uses Positron Beam (about 30
damage to one character), and a physical attack
(80-90 damage to one character), and some other
attack (can't read my writing, sorry ;_;) that does
about 40 damage to everyone. Citan should just
attack with his best Deathblow, as should Bart (but have
Bart cast Red Cologne first to boost his attack
power). Billy should heal, and attack when he has
the chance -- but don't use his Ether guns, they'll
heal the enemy. Seraphita has less HP (around 1500),
so concentrate on taking out her first. Once she's
down (she'll sit down), go after Tolone and her 2500
HP.
You'll receive VIT and ETH Drives when you win
the battle. Seraphita and Tolone then flee. Make
your way back through the dungeon (argh). You'll
now fight Hammerheads as well, which have an attack
that steals 10 EP (their attack only does about 50
HP damage, though). Don't worry about the EP loss
right now, just keep going 'til you get back to the
long black room with the Memory Cube. Be sure to
save here, and use a SurvivalTent to replenish all
your lost EP. Then continue south, and when you get
to the bridge, Id (the guy who trashed the Yggdrasil)
will make his first appearance in person. Yes, it's
fight time.
Id is the toughest on-foot boss in the game; he's fast
and his attacks can do up to 400 HP damage. I don't recommend
trying to heal (he hits you faster than you can heal), just
attack him as fast as possible to try to defeat him before he
returns the favor. Don't even bother with spells to boost
your attack; they're not worth it. There's a lot of luck
involved here -- sometimes Id will use his combo all the
time, while other times he'll waste a lot of turns
casting Radiance (which never does more than 100 damage).
He has 3000 HP.
Wiseman will fly down and stop Id, allowing you to
escape back to the Yggdrasil. Go down below deck and
you'll see everyone looking for Fei. The first order
of business, however, is to go to the Gear shop and
make some important adjustments. First, upgrade
Renmazuo's parts (engine, armor, etc.), and buy some
M686 ammo. Then equip it with the G-M686 Gun (you already
have it in your inventory). Also equip the Seal Ar
on Renmazuo, and the Deathblower 1 (if you have it).
Go save your game, then return to the Gear dock.
Weltall has mysteriously returned; approach it and
you'll find Fei. There's no time to talk however, as
Stone is attacking in his Alkanshel. You have to
form a new party with Billy; I recommend using Elly
(for her Ethers) and Rico.
You'll probably notice right away that you can't
hurt Alkanshel. There's nothing you can do about this,
so don't waste any EP. After a few rounds, Jessie
will show up, and there will be some scenes in which
the Alkanshel's barrier is destroyed, and then the
fight really begins. The Alkanshel will mostly use
a Seal attack, which is why you equipped the Seal Ar.
It will also occasionally use Mass Limit, which halves
everyone's HP. Basically, you'll want to have Rico
attack normally, and Elly use her Ethers. If you
equipped the Deathblower on Renmazuo, have it use one
X attack to build up to Attack Level 1, then use the
special Deathblower attack (Triangle, X), which only
costs 20 Fuel but does over 1,000 damage. If not,
you'll have to fight normally. This is a pretty tough
battle; you'll definitely have to use your Frame HPs
to heal, and you'll probably run out of fuel. You'll
probably even lose a character or two; the important
thing is just to keep Renmazuo alive, since it's doing
most of the damage. Be warned, once you actually defeat
the Alkanshel, it will explode and do about 400 damage
to the party. It has about 14,000 HP.
You'll receive an E Circuit (big whoop) for winning,
and in the scenes that follow, the Renmazuo will get a
(useless) Gear Option, the Jessie Cannon. Fei then finally
rejoins! Woohoo!
