ITEMS TO GET: HP Drive

   Weltall comes to the rescue just as Rico is forced to fight a Rankar Dragon, and you fight the first Gear battle in quite some time. It's also a really, really, easy one -- the Rankar here is just the same as the first one. Use weak attacks to conserve fuel.

   After defeating it, Citan, Rico, and Hammer will evacuate the city, while Fei blasts off to stop Gebler. Your first battle is against the Aegisknight R, which is as weak as always. It still uses Pile Driver to lower your defense, but just whack it with some Deathblows a couple times and it's on to the next battle, against the Swordknight R.

   This is where it gets interesting. Swordknight R can do about 500 damage in a single attack, and it's also faster then Weltall -- so turn on Booster! If you've never used the Booster before, it's on the second screen of menu options. Using it will drain your fuel quickly, but boost your speed. Then charge up to Attack Level 2 and hit it with a Ryuten (or Hazan). If you get low on HP, use your Frame HP 30 to heal.

   Next up is the Clawknight R, which is significantly easier -- its attack only does 90-150 damage, or 250 if it uses its throw attack (rare). You probably used a lot of Fuel in the last battle, so just sit back and Charge for a few turns (note that you recover more fuel if you're at a higher Attack Level, so you might want to build up to AL 2 and then Charge). If you're low on HP, also use the Frame HP 30. Then take out the Clawknight; you shouldn't have any trouble.

   Fei will be joined ny Rico (on board Stier, of course), and then the two of you fight the two Wandknight Rs. They're a bit tougher than the Clawknight R, but not very challenging. Just focus your attacks on one until it goes down, then take out the other. If you have the Beam Coat equipped on Weltall, they should barely be able to touch you.

   Next up is... nobody. There's some hokey scenes with Fei and Elly, then you get a chance to save your game. Go ahead, and quit if you want, though there's not much more left to this section -- in fact, there's just one battle and a bunch of story scenes (go figure).

   The one battle is against Dominia, on board the Hecht. She mostly uses Aerods to attack, which does around 150 damage to both characters (less if you have the Beam Coat). Hit her with your Level 2 Deathblows (Rico's Grand Slam does over 1000 damage). After a while, a big brown thing will come down. Just ignore it and keep attacking Dominia. The brown thing will explode and use Super Aerods on you for about 1000 damage, but that's not really any big deal. Just keep up your attacks and you'll have no problem winning. You'll receive an HP Drive when you win; it can be used to permanently boost a character's maximum HP.
