Early in the game, Elly is mostly useless, as her
spells miss too much and her attack is weak. Later,
she starts getting strong weapons, and her attack
actually becomes better than Fei's. Although only
useful in selected situations, her Ether spells are
good against the occasional enemy that is resistant
to physical attacks. Her hit rate is abysmally low,
though, so give her Citan's Glasses and later the
SuperGoggles. Her defense isn't very good, either,
but she's still one of the better characters. Don't
pull all your eggs in this basket, though, as she
leaves permanently near the end of the game.
