ITEMS TO GET: 5000 gil
Before you arrive in Treno, Thorn and Zorn arrive in Alexandria in an A.T.E. The six current characters split up, leaving you in control of Zidane. Head down the stairs, running through all the A.T.E.s. Look around town and finish all the A.T.Es you find. Also drop off your coins with Queen Stella; you won't have another chance for a while.

The weapon shop is stocked with a new monster to fight: a Griffin. If you've equipped Zidane with a strong weapon (i.e., one you forged), he should be able to defeat it very easily. Your reward is 5000 gil.
Head to the waterfront palace. If you haven't been playing QuadMist, you can buy some cards from the guy in the booth on the left, though you've probably won a fair number just by fighting enemies. (And the cards that the booth sell are terrible.) Try to enter the building and you'll begin a card battle. Your opponents' card are fairly weak, so you shouldn't have too much trouble winning -- see the QuadMist rules if you need a primer on the game mechanics. After a couple of battles, Cid will show up and summon you back to Alexandria.
