Disc Three begins with Zidane drowining his sorrows at the pub. While Tantalus unsuccessfuly tries to cheer him up, you'll take control of VIVI for an encore exploration of the town.

Kupo!!!

To the west of the pub, you'll be able to choose between two A.T.E.s; you can do them in either order, but you'll always end up doing both. (Once features Frank and Marcus, and the other one is nothing but Moogles.) Continue on the town square. The jump rope kids are gone, but the blacksmith's shop is now functioning. You can pick up the Angel Voice sword for Zidane here if you've got a Mithril Knife and a Gladius in your inventory. There's also a scene at the inn.

Continue west from the marketplace into the alley where Puck stole the ladder on Disc 1. When you try to the exit to the south, Frank and Marcus will talk to VIVI. Don't follow them downstairs just yet, though; instead, continue on to the church, where you'll find Stiltkin stationed. This time, he'll sell you a Phoenix Pinion, an Elixir, and a Hi-Potion. Talk to the MOGNET Moogle and choose the first option twice. Then return to the alley and follow Marcus down into the underground bar. Talk to Ruby and the rest of Tantalus will enter.

The game cuts over to the castle, where Toto gives Garnet three new summon stones: an Opal (Shiva), a Topaz (Ifrit), and an Amethyst (Atomos). After a lot of talking, you'll then end up in control of Eiko. Head north and she'll bump into Baku and drop her letter. Baku takes the letter, but drops it while talking to Steiner, and Beatrix then ends up with it.

Meanwhile, Tantalus cheers up Zidane, and you regain control of the cheetah-hailed hero and VIVI. You can now go stay at the inn (it costs 120 gil), though there's no reason to do so. Proceed to the marketplace and go north to the castle moat; Freija and Salamander will join you there. Search underneath the two balconies for some gil while you wait for the boat to pull up. Talk to the soldier on board and choose the first option to transport yourself to the castle.

Check the left tower (the place where Steiner ); the stairs are now sealed off, but there's a Phoenix Pinion tucked away on the right side of the screen. Then proceed inside the castle itself, where Garnet will greet the party. After some more talking, night falls and you automatically rest. There's one more scene (with cool music), and then Zidane, VIVI, Salamander, Freija, and Eiko set off for Treno via Gargan Roo.
