ITEMS TO GET: Aquamarine
Head back to Iifa via the Mountain Path. When you arrive, Kujya shows up on its flying bird / dragon thing. A menu appears with three choices; the first lets you change characters, the second just brings up the status screen, and the third closes the menu and lets you continue on.
| One meeeeeeleon gil! |
Cross the big vine to the tree trunk; along the way, you'll probably fight a couple of the generic enemies. When you reach the tree, you'll move on to a new screen. After some discussion, your party hops down to confront Kujya, and the same three-option menu comes up. Make any preparations you want to (though there's nothing difficult ahead), then choose the third option. Kujya talks some more, then Queen Brahne shows up with the Alexandrian navy.
Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer. | |
Kujya summons a pair of monsters for you to fight. They're extremely easy; if you can't defeat them, you might be better off trying your hand at Elmo's Number Adventure. For some reason, they cough up an excessive amount of experience when you defeat them. There's more talking, and you fight another of Kujya's minions. Believe it or not, it's just as easy as before.
You then end up on a branch with a controllable Zidane. There's a well-hidden Save Moogle peeking out from the branches in the background; talk to him to MOGNET and save. Then run down the very long branch to the left. Two more pairs of Kujya's monsters will attack you along the way. When you reach the bottom of the branch, Garnet activates the Sacred Beast statue and receives the Aquamarine, which contains the Leviathan summon. After quite a bit of CG, Disc 2 comes to a close.
