Sketch Artist

Okay! The planets have disaligned and everything is back to normal. Better than before, even; in addition to full blown Sketch Artist archives sorted by date, I've also added archives sorted by artist, so you fans won't have to tediously search through the chronological archives to find stuff done by your favorite artists. Neat-o, jellybean.

Getting down to the art, pulpy's "I'm Afraid of Rejection" has an intriguing intent behind it -- he seeks to abandon the stylish, flashy artistic styles commonly used in contemporary fan artwork "to make something not natural look natural," in this case FFVII's Cait Sith. His down-to-earth, crayon driven approach certainly does the trick; disregard some of Cait Sith's more outlandish features in the piece, and he looks like a real cat.

Wulfmune continues to tinker with her style with successful results, as evidenced by the beautifully colored "Vanyard." Femme artistes Petra Rödig and Lady Merit both donate fawning perspectives of the ever-popular Sephiroth. (Did I mention I'm in my mid twenties and have a good build, green eyes and long white hair? No, really...) TAS proffers another jaw-dropper in "Tifa's Radiance." Finally, shady part-time agent J. Parish makes his Sketch Artist debut with a pictorial of Xenogears' Elly. You might recognize his work from the GIA staff mug shots. We love ya, JP!

Ah yes, lest I forget, props go out to Bubbawheat for offering help on, and partially inspiring, the Sketch Artist archives design. Thanks, bud.
