As these screens show, Dragon Warrior VII players will be given the chance to build an entirely customizable city of their own and are allowed to name the city and choose who lives there. There are over 175 characters in the game that can be chosen for the city, and each one has a unique story. The people you select for the city will determine its final outcome. Choosing a lot of of religious characters will result in a sanctuary, while thieves and criminals will result in a slum. The characters will appear at various times and in different locations, so players will need to keep a close watch for them. If they do miss a certain character, they can always trade for them with a friend. The townspeople will keep track of where they're from, so a traded character will say they are from the town they were traded from. Depending on what sort of town you create, rare items and weapons will become available for purchase.
