Nintendo to release Pokémaniac N64 in Australia

[08.31.99] » Limited edition console believed to be sign of apocalypse.

Still haven't bought a Nintendo 64? If you live in Australia, Nintendo of Australia may have the solution: the company today announced a special, limited edition "Pokémanic Nintendo 64" available exclusively in Australia. The blue-and-yellow Nintendo 64 is decorated with rendered artwork of Pokéballs and several Pokémon (Pikachu being one of them, of course), as well as the Pokémon logo. The console includes the standard one controller -- with the same blue-and-yellow coloring -- as well as the video "I Choose You! Pikachu!", which includes the first three episodes of the Pokémon TV show.

The Pokémaniac Nintendo 64 retails for $199 Australian (about $127 U.S.). Nintendo currently has no plans to release a similar console in other countries.
