Dragon Quest III goes portable

   The most popular installment of the Dragon Quest franchise has found a new home: the Game Boy Color. Enix today announced it was porting Dragon Quest III to the Game Boy Color; the first two Dragon Quest games have also received GBC ports. The Game Boy version of Dragon Quest III is apparently based on Dragon Quest III Remix -- the enhanced Super Famicom version -- though the graphics will probably more resemble those of the NES original.

   Enix recently signed a long-term publishing deal with Eidos; while the only game to come out of the deal thus far is Dragon Warrior Monsters, the Dragon Quest Game Boy Color ports are all likely candidates for future release.
