D2 U.S. release confirmed

   At Sega's Gamers' Day event today, the company announced today it would publish the Warp-developed D2 in North America. The move is hardly unprecendented: an impressive showing at E3 gave the 4 GD-ROM horror adventure plenty of clout.

   No release date for the English release has been given -- and given the rumors that the Japanese may be delayed until next spring due to creator Kenji Eno's illness, one may not come for some time. Sega has committed itself to publishing the title in the U.S. no matter when it arrives, however.
