Hybrid Heaven, Echo Night 2 rate highly
[08.07.99] » Famitsu gives above-average marks to two recent
releases.
As always, the latest issue of Japan's Weekly Famitsu
magazine contains plenty of tough game reviews. The highest score given by
the magazine in the issue is the perfect score awarded to Namco's Dreamcast
fighter Soul Calibur, but two RPG / adventure releases picked up decent
scores as well.
Konami's action RPG Hybrid Heaven walked away with two 8s
and two 7s, for a total of 30 (out of a possible 40). ASCII's Echo Night
2 scored slightly higher; it received scores of 9, 8, 8, 7, for an overall
grade of 32 out of 40.
Hybrid Heaven will meet North American reviewers in
September, when the English version of the game ships. No U.S. release is
currently planned for Echo Night 2, though the game's predecessor, Echo
Night 1, recently arrived courtesy of Agetec.
