Eidos prepares Soul Reaver promotions

[07.29.99] » A $4 million marketing campaign will herald Raziel's August debut.

   Eidos announced today it would unleash a $4 million marketing blitz to promote the oft-postponed release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, finally scheduled for this August. First, a six-week television campaign consisting of three 30-second commercials and one 15-second one will air on various shows and channels, including ESPN and ESPN 2, MTV, Comedy Central's South Park, and TNT and TBS's wrestling programs.

   A print ad compaign will supplement the television commercials, with ads running in gaming magazines and other related publications. A Soul Reaver comic book is also being produced in association in Top Cow Comics and Internet entertainment company Eruptor Entertainment. The comic, scheduled for release in September, will only be available online at Eruptor's sites, www.eruptor.com and www.monstermart.com.
