Dino Crisis difficulty increases

[07.27.99] » Fewer continues, altered puzzles await U.S. gamers.

Hardly the first game to receive a difficulty boost for an English release, Dino Crisis will arrive in North America with several gameplay changes. Most significantly, the number of continues allowed has been reduced from the Japanese version's 30 down to a mere 5 -- a significant increase in challenge.

Also altered for North American are the puzzles scattered about the game. The Japanese clues have obviously been translated into ones useable by English-speaking audiences, and some of the numerical answers have been altered as well.

Dino Crisis is due out September 16th; the first 500,000 copies of the game will also include a demo of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
