Baroque coming to PlayStation
[07.22.99] » Sting's Saturn RPG is being ported to a second system.
Many formerly Saturn-exclusive games are slowly wandering over to
the PlayStation, and Baroque is the latest on the list. Developed by Sting -- the creators
of Treasure Hunter G and Evolution -- and released back in
May 1998 on the Saturn, Baroque stood out from the RPG crowd with its first-person
perspective, "dark" setting, and randomized item locations that gave the game plenty of replay value.
The PlayStation port of Baroque will hit Japanese stores on
October 28th, retailing for 6800 yen (about $57 US). ESP, the publisher of the Saturn version, will publish the PlayStation version as well. There's no word yet on whether
the PlayStation version will feature any graphical or gameplay enhancements, as several
of ESP's other PSX ports have.
