New Final Fantasy VIII release date

   Several Final Fantasy VIII release dates have been swirling about the rumor mill, and only now has a true date surfaced. Square today announced that the four disc RPG would be shipping September 7th -- a mere two days before the highly anticipated launch of the Dreamcast. Square and Sega aren't the only companies favoring early September: Several other high-profile titles, including Atlus's Thousand Arms, Capcom's Dino Crisis, and Konami's Suikoden II, are all due out within a week of the date as well.
