Lunar: SSS demo bug

[05.28.99] » Planning to use your saved game from the Lunar demo in the final, purchased version? Read the following to avoid a major glitch.

Weeks before Lunar: Silver Star Story's release, a demo of the game was distributed to all those who had pre-ordered from Electronics Boutique, Babbage's, or direct from Working Designs. Eager fans got the chance to play the first three hours of the game over a month before the retail release, with the ability to take the memory card files from the demo and start a game on the final version where the demo left off. Unfortunately, today Working Designs officially confirmed that a bug exists in the demo which has the potential to prevent players from completing the game in the final.

The glitch occurs when players transfer Alex's ocarina item to another player's inventory (or Nall's inventory) in the demo. Thankfully, the glitch is just as easy to correct -- simply transfer the ocarina back to Alex within the demo disc prior to using the saved game in the final Lunar. The final version of Lunar doesn't contain the bug and will not be affected in any way if demo saves aren't used.
