Breath of Fire IV in development?

[05.06.99] » The next installment in the Breath of Fire series is reportedly in development for the PlayStation / PlayStation 2, according to Magic Box.

   According to Magic Box, Capcom of Japan has begun development work on the next title in the Breath of Fire series -- Breath of Fire IV. Reportedly, the game will be released on either the PlayStation or PlayStation 2, although the company has yet to make a final decision. Breath of Fire III, the most recent title in the series, was released on the PlayStation last year and is highly admired among RPG fans for its solid, traditional gameplay and colorful graphics.

   The veracity of the report may come into question, however, when one considers that Breath of Fire III was believed to be the last in the series. The game sold decently in both Japan and North America, though, and Capcom is certainly no stranger to the sequel market. Unfortunately, Capcom of America was not available for comment.
