Shen Mue story info

[05.05.99] » Possible spoilers surround the beginning of Shen Mue's story.

   Followers of Yu Suzuki's Shen Mue already know that the "FREE" title stars Ryo Hazuki, a young martial arts student from Yokosuka. More information on the game's plot has finally filtered out, and we now know that Ryo is seeking to avenge his father's death. When he returns home one day, Ryo encounters his father arguing with a stranger. Ryo's father refuses to help the stranger locate a mysterious mirror, and the stranger kills him. Ryo then takes it upon himself to unravel the mystery of the mirror and bring his father's killer to justice.

   This entire tale may be told in the first part of the multi-chapter epic, giving Chapter 2 a brand new storyline, or the story may span both chapters -- how closely the chapters will be linked remains to be seen.
