Evolution US release official?
[04.28.99] » Babbage's / Software Etc.'s online release dates point to a October 15, 1999 release for Sting's traditional RPG.
Late last month, a release list was reportedly sent out to certain retailers courtesy of Sega, detailing which games would be available soon after the Dreamcast's launch. Shen Mue, a title previously confirmed, was listed with an October release date. Unheard of up until that point, Sting's Evolution was also included in the list with a tentative October release.
Now, Babbage's / Software Etc.'s online website Gamelord.com is listing Evolution with a release date of October 15, 1999. Whether or not the date comes directly from the alleged release list is unknown, but numerous Japanese titles have been listed on the website in the past, weeks before official US confirmations. The addition of Sting's 3D RPG to Sega's early launch lineup would certainly benefit the company, which today announced a series of staggering job cuts and fiscal losses.
Unfortunately, Sega of America was not available for comment throughout the day.
