Vandal Hearts 2 resurfaces
[04.15.99] » Konami's second strategy RPG reappears on its release lists after a several-month absence.
When Konami first unveiled its U.S. 1999 release schedule, the list featured two PlayStation RPG sequels: Suikoden II, originally scheduled for June, and Vandal Hearts 2, due for a September release. Since that time, Suikoden II has been delayed two months, but Vandal Hearts 2 disappeared from Konami's release list entirely.
However, the game is far from dead. Konami of Japan recently announced that the sequel, officially titled Vandal Hearts 2: Tenjô no Mon ("Heaven's Gate"), would be released on July 15 in Japan for 5990 yen (about $50 US).
Given its previous appearance on Konami of America's release schedule, it's likely that Vandal Hearts 2 will eventually make its way to North America. Konami's translators currently have their hands full with Suikoden II, though, so we may not see the title until sometime in 2000.
