Koudelka and Azure Dreams go portable

[04.13.99] » Sacnoth's horror RPG will be headed to the Neo Geo Pocket Color, while Konami's Azure Dreams graces the Game Boy Color.

Portable gaming systems are experiencing a resurgence in popularity, led by the Game Boy Color. The library of games for Nintendo's perenially popular handheld system is gaining yet another new addition, a Game Boy Color version of Konami's Azure Dreams, released last spring on the PlayStation. How closely the new version will adhere to the original is yet to be seen, but it seems to be a fairly straight port. More facts about the port will likely be released as its Japanese release date of June 10th approaches.

Neo Geo Pocket Color owners won't be left out, however, as they'll be treated to a version of Square spin-off Sacnoth's new "horror RPG", Koudelka -- no surprise, given that the PlayStation is being published by the NGP's creator, SNK. Facts about the Neo Geo Pocket Color release, which is being developed simultaneously with the PlayStation version, are hard to come by -- mostly because its PSX cousin is also under wraps. More details about Koudelka, however, can be found in the GIA's Koudelka coverage.
