TGS: Dragon Quest VII release date

[03.18.99] » The long-awaited seventh chapter of Dragon Quest finally gets a release date: August 26th.

   After the release of Final Fantasy VIII, Dragon Quest VII easily attained the top position on Japanese most-wanted lists. It won't be able to hold that position too much longer, however, as the oft-delayed game finally has a definite Japanese release date: August 26th. This is the first specific date the game's had, so it's likely that there will be no further delays.

   There's still been no official word concerning a North American release, but rumors point towards Sony as a potential publisher. Given the fairly late release date, however, there's a good chance it may not see a translation until 2000.
