Um Jammer Lammy reviews
[03.15.99] » PaRappa's sequel receives a platinum star from prominent Japanese magazine Famitsu.
Given the success of PaRappa the Rapper in Japan, expectations are obviously high for its psuedo-sequel, Um Jammer Lammy, set to be released on March 18th. The early word is that the game will not disappoint fans of the series -- Famitsu Weekly -- Japan's largest gaming publication and noted tough grader -- awarded it scores of 9, 9, 9, and 8, earning it a platinum star and a combined score of 35 out of 40. For comparison, Final Fantasy VIII and Metal Gear Solid both received scores of 37, Tekken 3 earned a 39, and Zelda 64 garnered a perfect 40 out of 40 (making it the only game ever to do so).
Um Jammer Lammy will be released in North America later this year, but no specific date has been specified.
