New Bust-a-Groove 2 gameplay system

[03.09.99] » Enix introduces the "Luck System" to liven up the sequel to its dancing game.

In addition to offering individual dance patterns and special moves for each character, Enix is further distancing Bust-a-Groove 2 (aka Bust-a-Move 2) from its predecessor by including the new "Luck System" (yes, it's another of those systems).

As you dance, you'll earn colored blocks for executing combos. A 6-combo ("Cool") nets you a green block, a 7-combo ("Chillin'") is worth a red block, and a 8-combo ("Freeze") gives you a blue block. If either contestant collects enough block, he or she scores a massive amount of points and suddenly has a chance to win. The new system introduces an additional element of randomness and prevents either player from completely dominating the match.

The colored blocks can be seen in the first of 5 new screenshots.
