Square on board for the ride

[03.03.99] » The RPG juggernaut officially hops on the PSX2 bandwagon.

   After flaunting three scintillating demos at Sony's unveiling of the PlayStation 2, it comes as no surprise that Square has officially joined on as a third party developer for the powerful console. Rumor has it that development for a Final Fantasy installment on the PlayStation 2 is already in the works.

   Namco also has become an official supporter of the system. Most famous for its Tekken series, Namco's recent RPG contributions include the cult PlayStation RPG hit Tales of Destiny and its upcoming prequel, Tales of Phantasia.
