Zelda 64 reaches 6 million sales worldwide
[01.28.99] » Nintendo's popular Zelda : Ocarina of Time has climbed upwards to 6 million units sold.
According to Nintendo, as of January 12 over 6 million copies of Zelda : Ocarina of Time had been sold worldwide. 1 million units of the game were sold in Japan, with the remaining five million sold elsewhere in the world. Additionally, Nintendo still stands to sell many more copies of Zelda 64, especially in Europe where shortages of the title have led many players to import the game from North America. It's nowhere near the 12 million figure mark made by assorted Pokémon sales to date in Japan alone, but it certainly ensures another installment to the series sometime down the road.
