Harvest Moon comes to Nintendo 64
[01.24.99] » Natsume announces a version of their offbeat simulation RPG for Nintendo's top system.
Natsume recently announced that a version of their simulation RPG Harvest Moon is set to be released for the Nintendo 64 in the third quarter of 1999. Titled Harvest Moon 64, the game allows players to fufill their secret farm managing desires in a variety of ways. Every aspect of farm life is emulated, from planting crops to socializing with your fellow farmers.
"We were unsure if the US audience would accept the concept of
Harvest Moon, which is a cross between a role playing game and a farming
simulation, where the player is rewarded for hard work and a happy life
style. However, our concerns were soon put to rest once the game was
released, according to Hiro Maekawa, President of Natsume Inc," Natsume's press releases states.
Harvest Moon was first released for the Super Nintendo in 1997, with a Game Boy release following in 1998. In Harvest Moon 64, Natsume plans to include over 50 characters to interact with, over 400 events, a larger farming environment, and, obviously, many more products and animals to tend to. We'll have full coverage shortly.
