| Shen Mue takes to the 'net[12.13.98] » Sega of Japan plans to unveil their highly-anticipated "non-RPG" live on the Internet.    It looks like we'll finally be getting some details behind Shen Mue (a.k.a. Shien Mu), Sega's much-touted Dreamcast title that refuses to be classified as an RPG. Parallelling Sonic Adventure, Sega of Japan will be disclosing key information on Shen Mue publically over the Internet.    A live RealVideo feed will be transmitted via http://www.shenmue.by.arena.ne.jp. Sega also recently launched http://www.shenmue.com (putting to rest any spelling confusion). The broadcast will take place on Sunday, December 20th, 1998 between 10 AM and noon in Japan. That translates to 8 PM - 10 PM Eastern and 5 PM - 7 PM Pacific on Saturday for eager North American gamers. Up until now, only scraps of information have been fed to press sources, with gameplay details practically non-existant. The transmission will be in Japanese, but you can bet on the GIA's professional, rarely-sleeping agents to bring you the complete report shortly afterwards.    For our extensive Shen Mue coverage, click on "Shen Mue" in the blue navigation box to the right.
