Thousand Arms coming to North America

Striking a foe

   In development for over four years, IGNPSX yesterday confirmed that Atlus' upcoming RPG Thousand Arms is indeed due for a release in North America. Atlus has long hinted at the release (even posting information and screenshots on its American website), and now says that RPG enthusiasts should find the game in stores sometime around the second quarter of 1999.

   The Japanese Thousand Arms is slated for release a week from now, on December 17th. Atlus plans to keep the heavy amount of voice acting in the North American version, and is already hard at work in their American headquarters emphasizing dialogue translation and "believable voice action." Given the high quality of Atlus' previous translations, Thousand Arms should prove to be one of 1999's most anticipated RPG titles.
