Sony's PocketStation pushed back a month

[12.10.98] » Originally set for a December release in Japan, Sony's PDA won't be available until the new year.

Sony's upcoming Personal Digital Assistant (or PDA) for the Sony PlayStation, otherwise known as PocketStation, is now officially delayed a month in Japan. Pushed back from December 23rd to January 23rd, Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated explained that due to the high volume expected to sell, not enough PocketStations would be available by the end of December.

The PocketStation comes equipped with an LCD display, sound, infrared capabilities, an internal clock, and should retail for about $22 US when it is released in North America sometime next year. So far, Final Fantasy VIII and Devil Summoner : Soul Hackers are two RPGs slated to take advantage of the device.
